Patricia is a linguist with experience in second language acquisition and intercultural communication. She has been awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Commendation for Academic Excellence for her doctorate thesis. Patricia has initiated multiple funded projects aiming at the development of innovative methods in the teaching and learning of the Greek language. Working effectively with many national and international stakeholders Patricia has developed impactful collaborations promoting the ellinomatheia. She has participated in national and international conferences in the organizing committees and as a keynote speaker. She is the Head of one of the biggest examination centres for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek, a director on the Board of Directors of the Macquarie Greek Studies Foundation and a member of the Outreach and Engagement Committee of her department. Her main goals are to contribute to the diasporic Greek education and build bridges with Greece.
