Sofoklis Goulas is an Associate Research Scholar at Yale University’s MacMillan Center, co-founder and director of public-policy programs at the Aletheia Research Institution, and a research affiliate of the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). He is also an elected Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Crete with a pending start date. Sofoklis’ research focuses on the economics of education, labor markets, and the effective integration of artificial intelligence into learning environments. Sofoklis previously held positions at the Brookings Institution, Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, the Center for Community Capital at UNC–Chapel Hill, the Bank of Greece, and the World Bank, bringing a unique combination of academic rigor and policy experience to his work. He holds an M.Sc. in Finance and Economics from Warwick Business School and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
