Assistant Professor of Methodological approaches in Educational Psychology- Department of Primary Education, University of Crete, Creece
Aikaterini Vassiou works in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Crete as Assistant Prefessor of Methodological approaches in Educational Psychology. She holds a BSc degree in Greek Literature from the University of Ioannina. She completed her master's degree in Educational Organization and Administration and later on her PhD in Pedagogical Psychology at the University of Thessaly. She was awarded an Excellence Scholarship to carry out a postdoctoral research in School Psychology and Counseling in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Western Macedonia. She has participated in two research programmes: An Experimental Study at the Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Mental Health programme at the University of Aegean. She has published articles in international and Greek journals and has made announcements at international and Hellenic conferences about psychology and education. Her research interests include children’s and adolescents’ moral, emotional and social development and education, students’ and teachers’ motivation, emotions and well-being, and quantitative and qualitative research methodology in the field of teaching and learning.
