  • Hands-on internship in Greece for up to 40 hours per week at the Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation organization in Greece. This internship will involve tasks around 9 core teams (marine mammal research & conservation, marine ecology, GIS & remote sensing, environmental law & policy, terrestrial research & conservation, microplastic and laboratory projects, Aegean Marine Life Sanctuary, Media, PR & graphic design, environmental education). The team is made-up by professional marine specialists & volunteers that participate in international marine conservation & educational projects around Europe, eliminating any language barriers and offering international expertise. This internship requires self-motivation and self-guided work.Most of the activities are focused on practical conservation field work but may include office-based tasks too. Typical tasks are: data acquisition on marine species, water quality and coastal biodiversity, surveying, human impact studies, GIS

  • Accommodation Information
  • The accommodation is fully furnished (single or double beds), with WiFi, shared with 1-6 other same-sex interns, and located in safe areas with easy access to public transport and close to the hospital. The last night of the accommodation is the Friday night of the final week, leaving interns free to depart on Saturday. Extra nights of accommodation or private apartments can be arranged in advance, if requested and subject to availability.
